Buxton Mountain Rescue Live
This project was a charity livestream to raise funds for the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, featuring a showcase of their members skills and expertise, alongside hearing from some of those who have been helped by the organisation.
Filmed at one of their bases in Buxton, Derbyshire, facilities were fly pack and featured a 3 camera studio setup, plus an additional camera roaming around the base. The show was presented by it's volunteers, who weren't used to broadcast, which added another challenge.
The show featured a look around the base, showcasing different members and their specialties. From taking a look inside the organisations specialist vehicles, to learning about working at height with rope equipment, water skills for dealing with flood conditions, and even an overview of the medical equipment carried by the teams. Using the teams activity space, we showcased a number of skills and provided demonstrations of how equipment would be used in a rescue scenario.
The studio presenters also interviewed volunteers, kept a track of donations and messages coming in, as well as chatting with someone who was rescued by the team.
The project was a great learning experience, and went on to raise a good chunk of change for the charity!
