Watch Us Dance - Emergence

Emergence is a Dance company based in Salford. During the fallout to the COVID pandemic, their performances were affected, with audiences unable to attend the theatre to watch their performances as usual. The solution, to livestream their performances.

Using 4 cameras, we captured 3 pieces, the longest of which spanned 35 minutes. The challenge here was to bring the viewer into the theatre with us, showcasing the use of lighting design which was crucial to the pieces, whilst also showing detail and solo moments of the dancers, and capturing these moments correctly, in time with the music.

Following the success of the project, we were asked to do this again the following year, once audiences had returned, to allow those unable to visit the theatre to still witness and support the production.
